My approach to developing and refining commercial strategy is based on almost 30 years of hands-on experience in the sector in both established and early-stage companies.
This has spanned identifying and acquiring new technologies to enhance a mature portfolio, commercial partnering and distributor network development, as well as M&A and exit planning and execution.
As part of this, I am also passionate about communication, setting out ideas and plans in straightforward and engaging language for buy-in across a wide range of stakeholder groups.

Starting with a nugget of a good idea, or well-worn path that is no longer competitive, I work with teams to identify the market opportunity, the competitive challenges and the key activities required for success.
Although innovation is often sparked by the promise of an exciting technology, good product development starts with a specific problem to be solved and an understanding of the competitive market environment in which it exists.
Market success can be underpinned by identifying stakeholder needs across the workflow, defining clear use cases to focus development plans and balancing the accompanying trade-offs to minimise risk. I can help you identify the critical success factors, and work with you to develop and implement the plan for market delivery, with clear commercial milestones and a robust business case for investment.
Organisational Development, Interim Support and Fractional Leadership
With broad functional leadership experience, I can provide short-term and fractional support for teams and for projects, providing much-needed expertise and experience to accelerate development opportunities and to help the team identify and mitigate risk.
